"How Yma the Pwning Pumpkin was Squashed by Bytail's Big Butt"

Yma the Pwning Pumpkin was a very happy pumpkin. Even though she couldn’t move, or speak, or eat, or do anything, she had a good life. She had the richest orange shade, and her stem was a most peaceful green. She was surrounded by all her siblings, and they all had a wonderful life just...sitting, in the garden. Yma knew she was the most beautiful of all the pumpkins, but had the decency to not make a big deal about it. She secretly called herself the “Pwning Pumpkin,” definantly NOT “P.P.” for short.

One day, while she was smiling at herself in the mirror that was dropped into the garden by a passing car, Yma heard a loud noise like when those two-legged humans came, only a bit softer. There was also the sound of wind going in and out of something. It was coming closer, and closer. (I’m not quite sure how a pumpkin hears, but let’s get on with the story...) Yma wasn’t scared, after all, she was the Pwning Pumpkin, and she was too beautiful for anyone to want to hurt her...right?

Yma shook her head and thought “I must just be a little woozy or something, after all, the farmer turned me 90 degrees today. Maybe I should glance in my mirror for a few minutes.” She turned to look, and in that reflection was not only the gorgeous pumpkin called Yma, but there was a FOX!! The Fox was what was making those noises. Yma shivered...she knew what dogs and other canines had done to some of her friends and family. Something caught Yma’s eye. Could it be? No way! This fox was no ordinary fox, he had TWO tails!

Before she had a chance to realize what was happening, those two huge floofy tails were coming down on her beautiful head. She had seen this happen before, other dogs had sat on other pumpkins. The result was never pretty. Yma cringed as she waited for the huge butt of the "Bytailed" Fox to squash her into a flat pumpkin pie. The world seemed to stop as the tails first touched the crown of Yma’s head, and then...it was over. Bytail the fox had turned the once Pwning Pumpkin into the not-so-pwning Pumpkin Pie.
